• Serve as lead developer managing internal JavaScript/TypeScript applications supporting procurement and travel systems across the Pacific Region
• Modernize legacy ES5 JavaScript applications to ES12 and TypeScript, and integrate Svelte to improve maintainability, readability, and performance
• Design and implement automated workflows and forms using Google Apps Script, including approval buttons tied to user sessions, while navigating complex federal email routing and legal requirements
• Secure and maintain Linux-based weather stations with STIG-compliant cybersecurity on Apache HTTP Server, and modernize legacy systems to align with DoD standards
• Update and maintain MariaDB databases supporting critical Honolulu weather servers to ensure data reliability and system integrity
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and deploy scalable REST APIs, gather requirements, and deliver actionable data insights supporting federal operations
• Author SOPs, technical documentation, and reports while managing support tickets to streamline processes and enhance client outcomes
• Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, eligible to meet client-specific background check requirements
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience modernizing legacy codebases and implementing clean code standards
• Hands-on experience with Svelte (or similar frameworks)
• Proficiency in Google Apps Script and workflow automation
• Working knowledge of Linux system administration, cybersecurity compliance (STIG or similar), and Apache server configuration
• Experience managing and optimizing relational databases (MariaDB or equivalent)
• Familiarity with REST API design, development, and deployment
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Preferred: Prior experience supporting federal government clients
• Preferred: Understanding of federal security and email routing requirements
• Preferred: Knowledge of procurement or travel systems in a government environment
