• Bridge design thinking and frontend software engineering in an Agile organization • Translate user personas, operational workflows, and analytical requirements into responsive, functional interfaces • Contribute to the global design system and maintain the shared component library using Angular and custom UI frameworks • Implement styles for reusable component libraries and organize global Sass/SCSS stylesheets • Design and iterate high-fidelity wireframes, interaction models, screens, user flow diagrams, and clickable prototypes in Figma • Ensure customer-facing features are visually polished and fully 508-compliant • Execute accessibility compliance testing and remediation, including keyboard navigation, focus control, screen reader support, and error highlighting • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, senior developers, engineers, and architects to evaluate frontend feasibility and refine requirements • Support analysis and execution of spikes to evaluate emerging technologies and resolve styling issues involving Kendo UI and custom widgets • Work with frontend and backend developers to streamline the design-to-code handoff • Contribute to UI guides and developer-focused styling documentation • Build and validate layouts and typography across devices, form factors, and resolutions • Collaborate on Angular workspace consolidation, configuration updates, and dependency management • Practice and promote design thinking, technical empathy, and continuous improvement • Meet performance metrics for design alignment, sprint delivery, component utilization, accessibility pass rates, and constructive collaboration
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, HCI, Graphic Design, or related IT field or FOUR(4) years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree • SIX (6) years of professional experience as a UI/UX Engineer, Front-End Developer, or UX Designer • Strong working proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/Sass, TypeScript, and Angular (v14+) • Hands-on experience with Figma for asset extraction, spec inspection, and prototyping • Practical experience in 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance and remediation • Experience working in 2-week Agile sprint structures, including story refinement and active collaboration • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance • Familiarity with Kendo UI, Google Looker, and CSS-in-JS is a plus (Preferred) • Nielsen Norman Group (NNg) UX Training or equivalent foundational UX coursework is nice to have • Google Looker or Google Analytics Training / Certifications is nice to have • Angular / Frontend Engineering Technical Certifications are nice to have • 508 Compliance / Trusted Tester Certification is nice to have • Travel required up to 10%
