Description

• Operate as a technical and strategic leader within the Inventory team, tackling complex problems and guiding architectural decisions

• Drive product iteration with scale in mind, improving the Inventory platform based on real-world feedback and future needs

• Design and deliver complex, high-impact features that improve operational efficiency and sustainability

• Lead the evolution of the data model and domain architecture; own foundational technical decisions

• Create internal leverage through self-serve customer features and automation tools for internal teams

• Set the technical direction by re-architecting ageing paths, eliminating scaling bottlenecks, and defining new patterns

• Mentor peers, lead by doing, and teach through example to level up the team

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience architecting and shipping production-grade systems across the stack

• Exceptional strength in the frontend and fluency across full-stack development

• Strategic systems thinking and design: lead architectural decisions balancing scalability and maintainability

• Product & customer mindset: frame technical decisions in terms of customer outcomes

• Extreme ownership & proactive leadership: mentor and unblock peers

• Cross-org communication & influence; strong written communication and proposal skills

• Scaling culture & technical standards: define engineering norms and process improvements

• Familiarity with tech stack: Python, React, TypeScript, Javascript, Node.js, FastAPI, AWS (Fargate, Aurora, SQS), MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker

• Right to work in the UK/EU (must have)
