• We are seeking a highly motivated and opinionated Staff Frontend Engineer to join the founding engineering team of a groundbreaking new product.

• You will be the primary UI engineer, collaborating closely with design, product, and backend teams to bring a vision to life.

• This role requires a developer who is not only proficient in modern frontend frameworks but also adept at leveraging AI coding assistants while maintaining a strong commitment to clean, understandable, and manageable code.

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of the core user interface for our new, innovative product, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Work directly with product designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, highly interactive, and intuitive user experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Engineer, with significant experience in a Staff-level or equivalent senior role.

• Deep expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one leading frontend framework (e.g., React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, Angular).

• Strong understanding of web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, DOM, browser APIs, web performance optimization).

• A strong portfolio or examples of highly interactive, user-friendly applications you've built.

• Opinionated yet practical approach to development: You have well-reasoned technical opinions but are pragmatic in applying them, focusing on delivering value and simplifying complexity.

• Flexibility and Adaptability: You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and are comfortable pivoting to new technical approaches or requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to embrace and effectively utilize AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini Code Assist) to enhance productivity, while ensuring the generated code is thoroughly understood, refined, and meets production standards.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail and user experience.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
