Software Engineer – React, NodeJS

Description

• Build and ship features in the React Native (Expo) mobile app from concept through App Store and Play Store release • Design, build, and maintain Node/NestJS APIs powering mobile and web experiences • Write and optimize SQL against MySQL databases and help shape the schema as products grow • Integrate third-party platforms, including Stripe, Shopify, and partner ticketing systems • Debug production issues across the stack and improve system reliability • Collaborate with a lean team and help decide what gets built next • Own meaningful product areas including the mobile app, Node services, and data layer connecting ticketing, events, and guest systems

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills across both client and server • Ability to use AI tools to improve the speed of your work without sacrificing quality • Hands-on experience with React Native (Expo experience a plus), including app store builds, releases, and OTA updates • Experience building backend services in Node, ideally with a structured framework such as NestJS or Express • Solid SQL skills and experience designing and querying relational databases using MySQL • Comfort integrating third-party APIs and payment platforms • Experience debugging production systems with logs, metrics, and error tracking • Strong time-management skills • Residency in Florida or Texas is required • Bonus: Experience with Stripe, Shopify, or other commerce and payments platforms • Bonus: Experience with cloud hosting and deployment such as Heroku or AWS, CI/CD, and infrastructure work • Bonus: Mobile analytics and monitoring tooling such as Sentry, Mixpanel, or PostHog • Bonus: Genuine interest in theme parks and travel
