Description

• Partner with teams across engineering to improve platform quality, reliability, and developer experience. • Enhance system observability through improved monitoring, alerting, and telemetry. • Optimize database performance and scalability (primarily PostgreSQL). • Collaborate with developers primarily using Ruby on Rails to embed DevOps best practices into the development lifecycle. • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable, reliable, and faster deployments. • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to manage cloud resources. • Manage and scale containerized infrastructure on Kubernetes. • Support and evolve cloud environments on AWS (experience with GCP or Azure a plus). • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical production issues.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Ruby preferred; Typescript/ JavaScript a plus). • Relevant production experience with large-scale rails applications • Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred). • Strong understanding of observability tools (such as Datadog and Sentry) and practices. • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS). • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (like CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (like Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible). • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. • Excellence as a remote contributor, managing time and communication with intention, staying connected to the team, and delivering results reliably • Proud of your craft, valuing clean code that scales to keep large teams productive.
