Software Engineer, Frontend

Description

• Freelance Frontend Developer available for variable hours on an as needed basis

• Work alongside dedicated and multi-disciplined technologists and designers to bring high quality solutions to market

• Write elegant and well-documented code, with a strict eye towards separation of concerns and maintainability

• Craft efficient and reusable frontend components with an eye for design, collaboration on interactions, and understanding of overall user experience

• Collaborate with team on interactions, testing, and delivering production-ready websites

Requirements

• 4 years of experience writing HTML, CSS and Typescript or Javascript for production-ready websites

• Extensive experience with React and the ability to build efficient and reusable frontend components

• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme) and testing methodologies

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Mac or Linux savvy - Must be comfortable working at the command line

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

• Bonus Points: Familiarity with other frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g., Angular, Vue.js, Lit)

• Bonus Points: Additional Javascript frameworks like PIXI.js, Three.js, WebGL, Web Audio

• Bonus Points: CSS animations

• Bonus Points: Knowledge of frontend build tools and bundlers, such as Webpack or Parcel
