Role Summary

We are looking for talented front-end engineers to join the Product Engineering team at Bench. We are a small, passionate team dedicated to improving the lives of small business owners through modern processes and technologies.

As a member of the Product Engineering team at Bench, you will be critical in delivering meaningful product features that empower small business owners. You will work closely with our Product and Design teams to solve complex problems using React, GraphQL, and serverless technologies.

Requirements

• We're searching for a Senior Software Engineer who has expertise mentoring and guiding junior and intermediate development teams

• Expertise in ReactJS or other component based web frameworks and architecture

• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL, and/or REST

• Experience collaborating with Product Design to build components for Design Systems

• Experience with front end automated testing (we use Cypress at Bench, but we're not picky on the tool you have experience with)

• A resonance with our Bench and Technology principles


It could be an even better fit if you have:

• Expertise NodeJS

• Expertise in CSS (we use Styled Components and Stitches)

• Expertise in AWS technologies—specifically serverless

• Expertise with bundlers such as Vite

• Experience with build automations technology such as Github Actions
