Software Development Engineer

Description

• Lead the design and delivery of provider-facing, scalable, high-impact software solutions • Support enterprise healthcare platforms • Serve as a technical leader and hands-on contributor • Drive engineering excellence and cross-team execution across critical initiatives • Operate independently and influence across teams • Deliver complex solutions aligned to business outcomes • Design and implement distributed systems, microservices, and secure high-availability architectures • Modernize legacy applications into cloud-native services • Lead complex technical initiatives and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions • Collaborate cross-functionally on software delivery

Requirements

• Minimum of 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale, full-stack applications • Demonstrated practical experience in healthcare, preferably working with Provider focused initiatives • Expertise in backend development with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Node.js • Expertise in frontend development with React, Angular, and TypeScript-based frameworks • Experience with REST, GraphQL, and microservices-based API integration and design • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable distributed systems and microservices architectures • Experience modernizing legacy applications into cloud-native services • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing secure, high-availability application architectures • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including Jenkins, Git workflows, and infrastructure-as-code • 3+ years of experience leading complex technical initiatives and cross-functional collaboration • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • Preferred: experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving engineering best practices • Preferred: proficiency in relational and NoSQL database technologies, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB • Preferred: experience working in Agile environments • Preferred: exposure to event-driven architecture and messaging systems such as SNS and SQS • Preferred: exposure to WCAG accessibility standards
