Software Development Engineer

Description

• Design, develop, and maintain bswift products using React/TypeScript and generative AI products, and support API endpoints.

• Work closely with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and formulate use cases.

• Translate requirements into pragmatic and effective technical solutions.

• Debug and resolve technical problems.

• Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient front-end code using React and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement user-facing features.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive and accessible interfaces.

• Integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Stay current with front-end trends and best practices.

• Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code meets reliability, maintainability, security, and accessibility standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent relevant work experience.

• 2-3 years of professional experience in front-end development with React.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.

• Proficiency in React, Javascript, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and ticketing tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.

• Experience working with Git for version control.

• Writing unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.

• Familiarity with performance optimization (nice to have).

• Interest in AI/ML technologies and integrating front-end components with APIs (nice to have).

• Exposure to LangChain, RAG patterns, or other AI-related technologies (nice to have).

• Exposure to using AI developer tool assists (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and AI agentic frameworks (e.g. ClaudeCode) (nice to have).
