Role Summary

We are looking for a full-time Intermediate Software Developer to join our team. The successful candidate loves working with technology and solving complex business problems. You will have worked as part of a development team and want to work with cutting edge software and tools. At OneVest, you’ll get to own projects from inception through to deployment. Our infrastructure is built with a Microservices approach and our tech stack includes TypeScript, Node, Serverless, GraphQL, React, MongoDB, and AWS.

What You'll Be Doing

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with Typescript, Node, Apollo GraphQL & more
• Build aggregation queries within MongoDB
• Contribute towards a cutting-edge micro-services architecture following best-in-industry patterns
• Provision cloud-based resources using Terraform, Docker, and "Infrastructure-as-Code"
• Participate in code reviews, API design reviews, or technical reviews of product stories
• Adopt and champion practices including Unit Testing, Continuous Delivery & Dependency Injection


Requirements

• 2-5 years experience developing back-end code and business logic
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Sciences or a related field
• Knowledge of our tech stack (or similar technologies) or the willingness to learn
• Ability to architect and develop service-based backends: APIs, code, and data
• Some experience working with cloud-based infrastructure such as Amazon AWS (or similar)
• Knowledge of the current tech ecosystem, state of the art, trends and announcements
