Software Developer

Description

• Develop and enhance applications under the direction of the Lead Software Developer • Use C#/.NET Core, SQL databases, TypeScript with React, and Microsoft Azure • Add product features and improve existing functionality through clean, documented code • Write tests and documentation for the evolving codebase • Update lead developers on status and escalate issues when appropriate • Identify patterns and issues in existing code for refactoring • Work across the full technology stack, including databases, UI, and application integrations • Assist with estimating high-level requirements and tasks during planning with senior developers, project managers, and business analysts • Interface with QA, Support, and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot defects, workflows, and client issues • Assist junior team members and new hires • Follow DevOps best practices • Monitor new technologies and industry trends • Travel to orientation, conferences, company events, and onsite meetings as required • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience • Software development experience in JS, SQL, and an object-oriented language, preferably C# • Knowledge of basic application design and architecture • Understanding of relational database principles and how to use them • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other server and hosting environments and deployment • Ability to explain decisions made in the development process • Ability to define test cases and write code with them in mind • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality code • Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to give and receive constructive feedback • Curiosity and drive to learn • Ability to work independently and on a team • Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration, and team orientation • Ability to travel up to 10% annually
