Job Summary

We are searching for an experienced and certified Guidewire Digital Software Engineer to join Bamboo’s growing Technology team. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and configuring new and existing features in Guidewire’s Digital Jutro Platform to support our business. You will partner with the Guidewire team leads and other Guidewire developers to ensure that any design and implementation choices made support their respective applications.

To ensure success, you should exhibit strong development skills and extensive experience in implementing the Digital Jutro Platform. This is a hands-on development role. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two year of Guidewire Digital Jutro Platform development experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain our Digital Agent and Consumer application and integration architecture
• Develop new features to support multiple new product/state releases per year, in addition to, regular enhancement and hotfix releases
• Partner with the DevOps team on establishing AWS CodePipelines
• Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have

Required Skills & Abilities

• Experience with implementing portals using Guidewire Digital Jutro Platform and integrating to third party services. Must be a Guidewire Certified Associate
• Have some knowledge of website design and web application design
• Be familiar with HTML and CSS and their use in web application design and development
• Be able to read and understand JSON
• Modern JavaScript/ES6
• TypeScript
• ReactJS, React hooks
• NodeJS and NPM
• Expertise in REST based services, Edge APIs
• Experience with Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmaps, Confluence to manage tickets across multiple projects
• Ability to organize and facilitate meetings across various stakeholders
• Adept in presenting technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Skilled in effectively planning and prioritizing work activities
• Able to provide an environment that encourages and develops new ideas from employees and management peers

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• At least five years Software Engineer related experience required
• Advanced knowledge of the full software development life-cycle
• Property and Casualty Insurance domain knowledge

Preferred Requirements

• Guidewire Digital Jutro Platform implementation experience

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
