• Own end-to-end solution architecture across applications, services, data, APIs, integration, and investment data and analytics platforms • Define and enforce reference architecture across application, integration, data, and infrastructure tiers • Establish canonical investment domain models, IBOR/ABOR/PBOR data flows, API-first standards, integration patterns, and technology standards • Engage with investment engineering teams on implementations from UI through pipelines • Review designs and pull requests and set standards for testing, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code • Architect around vendor platforms including order/portfolio management, investment accounting, private markets, market data providers, and custodians • Make build-vs-buy-vs-configure decisions and develop applications, APIs, and automation to close vendor gaps • Design AWS cloud solutions using serverless and containerized services, eventing, workflow orchestration, and Snowflake-based data platforms • Engineer architectures that produce SOX ITGC and SOC 1/2 evidence with data lineage, logging, and traceable audit controls • Build architectural runway within Agile and RGA’s Product Delivery Operating Model • Author enabler epics, participate in PI planning, sequence technical debt, and guide delivery teams toward the target state • Mentor senior engineers and partner with enterprise architecture, information security, data governance, investment operations, and investment accounting leadership

Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering • 5+ years architecting and delivering platforms for buy-side investments at an asset manager, insurer general account, pension, or investment-platform vendor • Depth in at least two stack tiers: application and services engineering, data platform engineering, and cloud infrastructure; working fluency across all three • Working fluency in investment data: trade lifecycle, IBOR vs. ABOR, fixed income and derivatives, private and structured assets, corporate actions, and reconciliation • Strong software engineering experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, Terraform, Bash, modern web applications, TypeScript/React-class front ends, REST, GraphQL, or event-driven APIs • Hands-on AWS experience with compute, serverless, containers, eventing, and IAM • Experience with a Snowflake-class cloud data platform, streaming ingestion, and orchestration at scale • Experience applying generative AI and agentic tooling to engineering delivery or building AI-assisted workflow applications • Direct experience integrating major investment platforms such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, SimCorp, Eagle, Clearwater, PAM-class accounting systems, or similar • Experience delivering under audit, including SOX, SOC 1/2, model governance, or equivalent controls regimes • Ability to tailor communication to technical and business audiences from individual contributor to executive level • Insurance or reinsurance general-account experience, investment accounting, and statutory reporting exposure preferred as strong pluses • Familiarity with Asset-Liability Management and actuarial interfaces to investment data preferred as a strong plus • Private credit or private markets platform experience preferred as a strong plus • Experience operating within an Agile methodology in a product-oriented technology organization preferred as a strong plus
