Role Summary

We're looking for an experienced, solution-focused software engineer to support development of our mobile applications powered by React Native. You will have significant responsibility and influence in shaping our applications as we build out our Mogo Trade experience into a best in class trading platform.

You will need to have passion for quality and an ability to understand complex systems. Above all you should be passionate about solving real world problems, and bringing that value to our customers.

What you’ll do:

• Our Mobile apps are written mostly in React Native with some native iOS/Android components and this will be the core area of your responsibilities
• Other parts of the stack are composed primarily of NodeJS services with MongoDB and Postgres databases, web applications in React. Some expertise in these areas is a plus but familiarity with similar technologies can be an asset in daily work
• Mentor, pair, share learnings and help others around you to grow. You will be a senior member of the team and we will look to you for guidance on all aspects of our stack
• Execute front end and mobile development throughout the entire development process. Driving continuous improvements and leveraging modern tools and frameworks that enables us to release more frequently

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience building and supporting software focused on high performance front end applications
• High proficiency with JavaScript TypeScript and React Native
• Experience implementing quality focused initiatives and tools
• Bonus: Any experience with native iOS/Android code via Objective-C, Swift, Java or Kotlin
