Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

Description

• Build mission-critical frontend applications and features for defense AI, including geospatial visualization, data analysis, and agentic AI for operational planning

• Design, build, and ship cutting edge applications using TypeScript, React, Tailwind, and Node.js

• Partner with customers, mission owners, designers, and engineers to understand user workflows and create solutions

• Contribute improvements to core libraries and frontend tooling for the broader organization

• Mentor and guide other engineers in frontend development

• Help define and shape the future of the product

• Work in small cross-functional teams embedded with customers globally and serve as technical expert

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in frontend software development

• Expertise in TypeScript, Javascript, and React, including state management and performance optimization

• Experience building components that compose well and are maintainable

• Eye for design and attention to detail; ability to produce elegant, consumer-grade UIs

• Customer obsession and strong product intuition; think in workflows and end-user experience

• Prior experience as a senior engineer or tech lead and demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers

• Ability to work on backend APIs as needed; familiarity with Node, Postgres, and OpenSearch (nice to have)

• Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one) and willingness to travel onsite at least quarterly (nice to have)
