Senior Software Engineer, Front End

Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain intuitive, reliable user interfaces for mpathic’s web applications • Build interfaces that make complex data, AI outputs, and workflows understandable and actionable • Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and supporting services in partnership with backend engineers • Create wireframes and contribute to product and interaction design • Translate user needs into effective interfaces • Test and optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and usability across devices and environments • Build reusable, scalable frontend components and contribute to consistent patterns and standards • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, well-tested, and well-documented code • Collaborate across engineering, product, AI, and other teams from early concepts through implementation and production • Troubleshoot complex frontend issues and improve application performance, architecture, and user experience • Research and evaluate emerging frontend technologies, frameworks, and industry practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development experience • Deep expertise in React and its ecosystem, including Redux and React Query • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 • Experience with CSS-in-JS frameworks such as Emotion or Styled Components • Experience building and optimizing data-rich web applications involving charts, graphs, complex workflows, and real-time updates • Strong understanding of state management, reusable component architecture, component libraries, and frontend performance optimization • Experience with modern styling frameworks and approaches such as Tailwind, MUI, CSS Modules, or similar technologies • Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and modern frontend development standards • Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services • Ability to provide examples of past work demonstrating frontend engineering and product development experience • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to independently own work while collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams • Curiosity about emerging frontend technologies and motivation to evaluate new tools and approaches pragmatically
