• We're seeking a Full Stack Engineer to help us scale and further develop the platform for both GMs and players.
• As a Full Stack Engineer at StartPlaying, you'll work on product experiences that directly impact players and GMs alike.
• You'll help shape our platform's technical architecture, build new features, and refine systems that meet the needs of our small but growing company.
• Architect & Build: Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable systems across our stack.
• Deliver Impact: Own projects from design and code to shipping and learning from real user behavior.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product designers and customer support to build delightful, high-performing user experiences.
• Elevate the Craft: Advocate best practices in system design, code quality, observability, and testing.
• Document & Share: Set the standard for well-documented code and architectural clarity that helps your teammates move faster and learn better.
• 7+ years of experience building and shipping high-quality software products.
• You're fluent in full-stack web development (Node, Javascript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, AWS), and excited to learn what you don't know.
• Bonus points if you've worked with Prisma, BigQuery, or Vercel, and/or have experience building marketplaces, payment infrastructure, or scheduling software.
• You've led meaningful technical decisions and are comfortable driving architecture discussions (we want to hear your strong opinions about API design).
• You sweat the details when it comes to UI and UX by delivering pixel-perfect solutions driven by user empathy.
• You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teammates to stay productive, clarify complex problems, and create easy-to-understand technical documentation.
• You take ownership, work independently, drive toward clarity, and stay grounded in user needs.
• You're self-aware, self-editing, and kind. You hold yourself to high standards without ego and collaborate with curiosity.
