Senior Fullstack Developer

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack developer that can work full time 100% remotely to join us in building and innovating for the JsJobbs site as we transition into a rebranded fully-fledged jobs platform for the JavaScript community. The developer will also be involved in building for our other company products.

The ideal candidate for this position has a flair for writing high quality code according to current industry standards and is able to dive into the frontend React / TypeScript stack and the Backend Node / Express / Typescript stack, has a great eye for pixel perfect designs using SCSS and is comfortable with optimizations and third party integrations.

This is a 6 months Contract role with the possibility of long term extension.

Location

Remote - Nigeria only

Salary

N500k - 700k (Naira) monthly depending on experience.

Must Have Requirements

• Proven expertise proficiency with React and Node/ExpressJs.
• Ability to create pixel perfect designs using SCSS.
• Hands-on experience working with TypeScript.
• The desire to work at an early-stage startup building multiple products including SAAS products.
• Ability to write high quality code and challenge the team to maintain same high standards.
• Experience with writing custom React hooks.
• Experience with writing optimized database queries, caching and frontend optimization techniques.

Bonus Requirements

• Familiarity with creating Third party tools, libraries, bots, widgets etc.
• Experience with Redux and React Context.
• Familiarity with Functional Programming concepts.
• Comfortable with CI/CD tools and best practices.
• Has led or managed a team before.
• Experience working with a team that is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

Will include, but will not be limited to the following:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software products & features.
• Work with Product Manager in scoping tickets and coordinating Scrum ceremonies for the team.
• Participate in Code Reviews & testing of team members work to ensure it meets Acceptance Criteria.
• Participate in pair programming and debug sessions with other members of the team.
• Guide and mentor Junior Developers on approaches to take in their task.
• Implement third party integration features into our application.
• Create easy to use third party tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
