Description

• Design, code, and support the development of software applications for the COSMOS program.

• Implement automated testing and code reviews to ensure the quality and functionality of software.

• Develop software modules and recommend improvements to existing applications to enhance performance, scalability, and security.

• Utilize USG-directed design patterns and practices in the development of new software and feature enhancements.

• Integrate software applications into the USG-directed Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) tool chain for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).

• Review, mitigate, and remediate software vulnerabilities in accordance with security best practices.

• Develop intuitive web interfaces using modern front-end technologies like React, Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

• Design, develop, and maintain serverless microservices architecture in AWS, including the configuration of APIs and back-end services.

• Work with PostgreSQL databases running on Amazon Aurora, and manage integration with various cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Ensure all code follows secure coding practices and integrates with existing DoD Cloud Native Access Point requirements, ensuring compliance with zero trust principles.

• Maintain detailed technical documentation for software systems, including database schemas, API definitions, and system architecture.

• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to ensure system security and the integration of Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSSP) for incident monitoring and reporting.

Requirements

• Clearances: Active Secret Clearance (required).

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Experience: • 5+ years of professional experience in software development.

• Experience with full stack development (front-end and back-end).

• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, Node.js, TypeScript, and web technologies (HTML, CSS).

• Experience developing APIs and integrating with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

• Knowledge of databases and SQL, especially with PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora.

• Experience with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3).

• Strong understanding of DoD, NIST security principles, and zero trust architectures.

• Knowledge of Cloud Native Access Point requirements and integration with Secure Access Service Edge solutions.

• Skills: • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable and secure software solutions.

• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
