Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Software Engineer

Description

• Development of responsive, barrier-free frontends in TypeScript, Javascript, React/Next.js incl. SSR/ISR, edge rendering and image optimisation

• Working with Shopify: Storefront & Admin GraphQL APIs, Checkout Extensibility, Theme App Extensions, Webhooks, Hydrogen/Remix

• Building shop integrations: Analytics, CDP/CRM (e.g. B. Klaviyo), ERP/WMS, PIM, Shipping, Loyalty

• Performance optimisation for Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), Code Splitting, Bundle Budget, Caching & CDN

• Performing tests & maintaining quality: Unit/Integration/E2E, hard typing, CI/CD gates

• Making data-driven decisions: A/B tests, experiment design, defining metrics (conversion funnel, retention, RUM)

• Ensuring compliance with security & compliance: OWASP best practises, secrets hygiene, GDPR, consent flows

Requirements

• Min. 3-5 years of professional experience in the modern web, much of it in e-commerce

• Deep know-how in TypeScript, React, Next.js

• Experience with Shopify (Storefront API or Liquid Themes and Checkout Customisation)

• Strong in architecture (Domain-Driven Thinking, Module/Boundary Design), DX and API Design (REST, GraphQL, tRPC)

• Proven fast delivery, with a sense of of maintability, readability and technical debt

• Enthusiasm to learn and willingness to share knowledge (also via documentation)

• Nice to have: Experience with Hydrogen/Remix, PostgreSQL, Vercel/AWS/AWS/Cloudflare, Sentry/Datadog, Segment/GA4

• Fluent German and English in speech and writing

• Academic background is good, but your skills are crucial!
