Senior Frontend Engineer

Description

• Build solutions that improve the global support agent experience • Shape the technical vision and deliver flexible, efficient, scalable solutions • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering counterparts to execute product and business strategy • Lead and contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, test automation, experimentation, analysis, and launch • Review code and design documents and provide feedback on product specifications and mocks • Build efficient, reusable frontend web components while maintaining performance and scalability • Design and implement server-side APIs supporting frontend requirements • Collaborate with Machine Learning and Generative AI Engineers to improve Community Support systems • Provide input on technical direction through engineering design discussions • Mentor junior developers

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience • Experience architecting frontend systems and owning end-to-end features and cross-team integrations • Experience building large web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript • Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript libraries and tooling, such as React and GraphQL • Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies • Excellence in accessibility, performance optimization, and paved-path client practices • Product mindset and strong communication; ability to drive cross-organization integration with partner teams • Experience building UI for AI-driven features, including classical supervised machine learning and Generative AI • Proficiency in one or more back-end server languages, including Java/Kotlin • Mentorship of junior developers • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
