Senior Backend Engineer

Description

• Play a key role in the engineering team as an experienced backend engineer

• Develop and maintain backend services written in Go

• Work towards multi-product strategy and scale the 'Plans' product

• Expand target audience to other primary healthcare providers and new regions/countries

• Maintain, evolve and scale legacy systems that support >10k dental practices

• Operate with a DevOps “you build it, you run it” mentality and lead large, ambiguous projects

• Collaborate within two cross-functional product teams and with product and engineering stakeholders

• Work with Google Cloud and AWS infrastructure, Confluent Kafka, serverless AWS services (API GW, Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB), Docker and Postgres

• Interface with frontend teams using JavaScript/TypeScript hosted on Vercel

Requirements

• Strong experience working on a Go backend of a technology product, particularly if you’ve worked with Go or in fintech before

• Comfortable working with a DevOps mentality of “you build it, you run it”

• Product mindset: care about customer outcomes and make data-informed decisions

• Indepth knowledge of JS/TS

• Comfortable leading on projects that are large in scope, ambiguous, or not well defined

• Cares about their team and works to continuously improve culture, processes and communication
