The React Front-End Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of new user-facing features, determination of the structure and design of user interfaces, development of reusable components, and supporting UI projects. The React Front-End Engineer is also responsible for designing, developing and maintaining user interfaces for cloud applications, working closely with product managers, and cloud engineers and architects to ensure that the applications provide an exceptional user experience.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and support UI features with well-structured code that is easy to maintain and understand
- Optimize code for performance, ensuring fast loading times and smooth user experiences
- Develop responsive applications that work across a variety of browsers and devices
- Write functional documentation and guides for implemented features
- Develop mockups of user interfaces and features from user stories to drive development
- Develop test strategies and write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage
- Engage with clients including presentations, technical decisions, and education opportunities
- Evaluate libraries, tools, and services for suitability to the project
- Participate in cross-functional implementation teams to deliver world-class solutions to clients
- Participate in delivery efforts using Agile or other work methodologies
- Occasionally contribute to back-end development of API's, services, tools, AWS and cloud resources, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, etc
- When warranted, engage with clients including presentations, technical decisions, and education opportunities
- Learn, research, and stay up to date on best practices and evolutionary capability in Frontend Development.
- Learn, coach, and share knowledge and skills with other Trek10 team members
- Contribute to internal IP and open source development
- Everything else: write cool blog posts, do talks at community events, help us achieve additional certifications in the AWS Partner Community, help our clients solve all sorts of problems.
- Occasional travel may be required to meet stakeholders, kick off new projects, attend conferences, and attend company functions.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of programming experience utilizing Python, Node.js, Typescript, GoLang, Java, C#, or other similar languages
- Professional experience with React or another modern JavaScript web framework (VueJs, Angular, Ember, etc)
- Professional experience with Django
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Have an AWS Cloud Architect Associate, Sysops Associate, and/or Developers Associate Certification (Or capability of acquiring within 6 months)
- Intermediate experience with Flask, Nginx, Gunicorn
- Intermediate experience with Amazon Web Services and configuration management tools
- Intermediate experience building scalable, automated infrastructure
- Intermediate experience with AWS Lambda and “Serverless” systems
- Intermediate experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments
- Intermediate experience working in a consultative, client-facing consulting role
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment
- Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions
- Familiarity with the concept of Agile Project Management or other project management work methodologies.
