Lead Software Engineer – Node.js, Typescript

Description

• Lead teams and develop high-quality solutions for customers and users • Make sound, reasoned technical decisions in a fast-paced environment • Learn and apply new technologies and approaches • Manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff • Manage employee performance and assist with career development • Provide technical direction and leadership to the team • Solve challenging problems collaboratively • Act as the technical leader and interact with customers • Share knowledge and mentor colleagues

Requirements

• Experience with AWS, Node.js or JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, Terraform, and AWS CDK • Expertise in designing, building, testing, and maintaining modern software applications • Technical leadership of teams building and testing modern, scalable, secure, performant applications • Knowledge of software development principles, practices, and patterns such as XP and TDD • Technical ownership of a product or software project, including architecture, estimation, product planning, and user story or requirement creation • Expertise in software design and development across all application layers • Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop junior team members and the wider community • Experience with modern Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery techniques • Good communication skills with technical and non-technical people • Active participation in knowledge-sharing activities • Experience debugging and troubleshooting live applications • Experience with multiple programming languages and data storage technologies • Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings
