Description

• Serve as an experienced junior (to mid) member of a development team for an enterprise-grade platform supporting a complex federal digitalization program

• Participate in development and integration of applications and/or modules as directed by a SW Development Lead/Architect

• Provide patches and upgrades to existing systems

• May be involved in planning of system and development deployment

• Prepare operating instructions, compile documentation, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent and output requirements

• Design and code applications following specifications using appropriate tools

• Maintain and modify existing software applications

• Analyze detailed systems factors including input/output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution

• Perform modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures

• Participate in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications

• Write or revise program documentation, operations documentation and user guides in accordance with standards

• Operate systems within FedRAMP High-certified cloud environments, meeting continuous compliance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)

• 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience

• Proven experience delivering secure applications

• Some front- and back-end understanding and experience

• Strong team mentality

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance with credit check

• Some experience with NodeJS ESM, TypeScript, Java with Spring Framework or Spring Boot (preferred)

• Some understanding of object reference via JavaScript and Node event-emitter experience (preferred)

• React (v17+), Next.js, Vue.js, Rollup.js (preferred)

• Jest, Puppeteer or Playwright (preferred)

• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or any other CI/CD pipeline/workflow technology (preferred)

• PostgreSQL, Hibernate or H2, Drizzle ORM (preferred)

• Understand data modeling at the schema creation level (preferred)

• Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or other Message Queue (preferred)

• RESTful APIs and the HTTP protocol (preferred)
