Role Summary
On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Full Stack Engineer for a remote full time position. Salary of up to 110k annually.
Responsibilities
- Deliver new features, taking ownership of the entire lifecycle, from planning to implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Actively engage in team activities, including code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mutual assistance when facing challenges.
- Contribute your own innovative ideas and insights, as our small team values every member's input, with the potential for your ideas to directly impact our users.
- Ensure codebase integrity, whether you're working on new projects or addressing existing issues, with a commitment to leave things cleaner than you found them.
- Collaborate closely with the customer support team to resolve bugs, incorporate feedback, and provide technical solutions to users.
Requirements
- Canadian citizenship or residency.
- A strong personal portfolio showcasing your work.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a fullstack developer.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, SQL, and NodeJS.
- Sound understanding of CSS styling and practical experience with Tailwind CSS.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, a self-motivated approach, and effective communication, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Familiarity with static site generation and server-side rendering frameworks, particularly Next.js.
- Knowledge of non-React frameworks or non-JavaScript languages (e.g., C++, Rust, Python, Go, etc.).
- Experience collaborating with designers and product managers or competence with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Proven experience in building and deploying at least one production system using platforms like AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, Vercel, etc.
- Prior experience working with SVG as code or image and file processing.
- Formal education in Computer Science or a related field is a bonus.
