Description

• Build out expense management team to drive more value for customers through better expense tracking and management workflows.

• Implement scalable SaaS solutions using NestJS (backend) and NextJS (frontend).

• Optimize PostgreSQL databases and microservices architecture.

• Collaborate with engineers on SDLC best practices and implement new features.

• Leverage AI and agentic tools throughout the development lifecycle

• Stay current with cloud-native technologies and microservices patterns.

• Support deployments by debugging, troubleshooting, and coordinating with DevOps and QA.

• Develop and maintain APIs and other backend functionality.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience building and debugging cloud-based solutions.

• Commitment to SOLID principles, clean architecture, and TypeScript.

• Professional experience with PostgreSQL (query optimization, migrations).

• Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).

• Excellent teamwork, documentation, and communication skills.

• This position is preferably based in Austin, Texas.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).

• Preferred: Experience with scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.

• Preferred: Experience with Javascript or Typescript (e.g., NodeJS, NestJS).

• Preferred: Experience with React, NextJS, or other frontend technologies.

• Preferred: Experience with Third-party APIs.
