Description

• You will be responsible for developing ground satellite operations software using Python and AWS services.

• Don't worry, you do not need to be an expert in satellites or understand space! Satellites are just flying servers you can connect to every 90 minutes but we connect to hundreds of them.

• You will primarily be responsible for supporting mission unique software development across backend and frontend in support of the U.S. government, but you will also contribute to Quindar’s core product development.

• You will develop APIs, integrate with various AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Fargate, and EKS along with focusing on scalability, security, cost, and performance of the software.

• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including satellite operators, customers, and other software engineers to understand requirements, implement new features, and troubleshoot issues.

• Your strong knowledge of AWS services and best practices will enable you to optimize resource utilization and automate processes, ultimately contributing to the efficient and reliable operations of thousands of satellites.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, GraphQL, Docker, and Terraform (or relevant IaC tools) Familiarity with Javascript and experience either developing full stack / frontend software or working closely to integrate with frontend developers
