• LaunchDarkly is seeking a Frontend Engineer to help build enterprise-scale capabilities that empower the world’s largest organizations to adopt feature management best practices.
• This team is focused on enabling scalable, standardized release processes through automation, governance, and visibility—transforming how software is delivered at enterprise scale.
• As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and building intuitive, high-quality user interfaces that help teams manage complexity, gain visibility into their releases, and ensure best practices are followed across the organization.
• We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about the developer and customer experience, loves building UI that scales across a large user base, and thrives in a collaborative, product-minded engineering environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build user-facing features that support automation, standardization, and release governance.
• Build scalable, performant, and accessible UI components in our design system using React and TypeScript.
• Contribute to the architecture and technical decisions that shape our frontend systems.
• Improve the usability and reliability of key product surfaces such as workflows, dashboards, approval systems, and integrations with enterprise systems.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews to uphold a high bar for quality.
• Partner with support and customer-facing teams to understand customer pain points and turn them into elegant solutions.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React.
• Strong understanding of frontend engineering fundamentals including state management, API integration, component composition, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, and accessibility best practices.
• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and communicating effectively in a remote environment.
• A growth mindset and a desire to learn, iterate, and improve the team and product.
• Enthusiasm for improving how software is delivered at scale—whether through automation, standardization, or empowering engineering teams with better tools and practices.
