Frontend Engineer

Contra is looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer to build and enhance user-friendly, high-performance web applications. If you have experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, responsive design, and creating seamless user experiences, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize scalable, responsive frontend applications.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement UI/UX designs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility.
• Optimize performance for speed and scalability.
• Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Vue, or Angular.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern styling frameworks (Tailwind, SCSS, Styled Components, etc.).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and state management (Redux, Zustand, Vuex, etc.).
• Knowledge of build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel) and performance optimization techniques.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Next.js, Nuxt.js, or SvelteKit.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Testing Library).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment (Vercel, Netlify, AWS).
• Basic backend experience (Node.js, Firebase, or similar).
