What you'll do
- Directly contribute to the development of the Augment JetBrains plugin, a key component of our product ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with fellow frontend engineers, backend developers, UX designers, and researchers to design, implement, and iterate on cutting-edge AI solutions.
- Actively participate in product discussions and help to shape product roadmap and priority.
- Influence the technical strategies of the frontend engineering team, ensuring a robust and scalable foundation for future development.
- Champion code quality and maintainability, actively participating in code reviews and shaping our testing strategies to ensure a low defect rate and high reliability.
- Take ownership in delivering polished user experiences.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in developing Kotlin applications, with a strong understanding of the Kotlin language and its asynchronous programming paradigms.
- Solid understanding of core JVM concepts, including threading, locking, garbage collection, and memory management.
- Experience in frontend development with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Svelte, and/or React.
- A strong sense of pride in delivering high-quality, maintainable code that is easy to observe and debug.
- A commitment to shipping polished user interfaces that delight our users.
- A rigorous and meticulous approach to problem-solving, with a drive to resolve issues at their root cause.
- Self-directed in ambiguous environments, with a strong sense of priority.
Desired but optional
- Experience contributing to the IntelliJ Platform project.
- Experience in developing plugins for JetBrains IDEs.
