Are we looking for you?

Spork is looking for a talented and experienced frontend developer to help our growing team. They will be implementing and optimising frontend application on web and mobile, crafting design systems, and making them perfomant.

We’re looking for someone who seriously knows their onions, but is super keen to learn new technologies. You’ll be opinionated, bring ideas to the table, and always be looking for ways in which we can build better, smarter and more efficiently. You’ll be technically articulate, and happy explaining concepts to Account Managers internally at Spork but also confident enough to talk direct with clients. You’ll be working with a talented and enthusiastic team of designers and developers, and strategists on both new and existing projects.

We use the following stack so commercial exposure to most of these (plus a genuine appetite to learn the rest) would be necessary for you to be successful in this role.

Web:

• React - Hooks and Redux
• Typescript
• REST APIs and consuming data using async functions
• Node.js
• Next.js - Server Side Rendering and Static Site Generation and when to use them
• Understanding of Webpack and Babel or other build libraries/transpilers
• Some experience with Socket.io

Mobile:

• Experience with React native and debugging on both iOS and Android
• Experience with XCode and Android Studio and how it ties into the App Store and Play Store
• Basic experience running Fastlane and what it does
• A basic understanding of how keys work and how they are used to sign apps

DevOps and Process:

• Bitbucket pipelines
• Git flow and git best practices and how to tie this into CI/CD

CMS:

• Experience using any CMS(we use Craft, Sanity, Wordpress) and how user interfaces should appear when adding content

And any of these would be a massive bonus:

• Docker
• AWS
• Python and Django
• Node.js
• PHP (Laravel&Yii)
• Java (Spring&Hibernate)
