• Happy Fun Corp is looking for an experienced Frontend Architect to join their team
• Guide the technical direction of client frontend projects, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams providing technical expertise, architectural oversight and strategic planning to keep projects aligned with business goals
• Leverage deep technical knowledge to evaluate, adopt and implement emerging frameworks and technologies
• Maintain hands-on expertise in NextJS and Express, providing technical oversight and guidance during development and code reviews
• Drive modernization efforts, ensuring adoption of best practices in service development and cloud-native design
• Monitor and assess technology advancements to inform tech debt backlogs and architectural improvements
• Ensure adherence to best practices while evolving standard patterns and identifying necessary updates
• Identify and lead architectural improvements, including refactoring efforts and core service optimizations
• Manage dependencies between services, ensuring clear interface contracts and resilient communication patterns
• Identify potential risks in technology choices and project execution, developing mitigation strategies
• Guide teams in maintaining technical feasibility, scalability and long-term maintainability of solutions
• Collaborate with project leadership to align architectural priorities with delivery milestones
• Serve as the technical point of contact across cross-functional teams, translating architectural considerations into actionable development priorities
• Support business requirement discussions and align technical decisions with business goals
• Advocate for engineering best practices within the project, facilitating knowledge sharing across development teams
• Lead project teams to achieve technical outcomes on time and within budget
• Proactively research and address dependencies, constraints and compliance factors impacting projects
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams working on the core services
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
• Proven experience as a Frontend Architect, Software Engineer or similar role in a software development agency or consultancy
• Expertise in modern software development, cloud architectures and system design
• Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset for balancing innovation with practical execution
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers to drive high-quality technical outcomes
• 7+ years of experience in full-stack development with a strong emphasis on frontend work
• Strong experience with Docker and AWS cloud services (Alchemy and Angolia)
• Advanced proficiency in NextJS/JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern CSS/HTML
• Strong experience with Node.js, Express.js, and GraphQL for BFF development
• Proven experience building and scaling B2C e-commerce platforms
• Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux or Context API
• Deep understanding of UI/UX principles, including responsive and interactive design patterns
• Knowledge of testing tools like Jest or Mocha
• Proficiency in Git and Agile workflows
• Experience with design systems, animation, and dynamic UI elements (e.g. swatches, carousels, filters, etc.)
• Experience with performance profiling and frontend optimization techniques
• Understanding of accessibility standards and internationalization
