Role Summary
The Front-End Software Developer will work with our Front-end Platforms team to build new features on new products. If you are passionate about user experience and have an eye for improving interfaces, or if you have experience working with ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript and Redux, with changing technologies, then this is the right role for you.
Location: Our workplace is based at our Toronto location and will work in a Hybrid model
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Software Development and Architecture.
What you'll do.
- This is a Mid level role and you will be client-facing and working with clients.
- Lead the full stack and lifecycle of main software applications from brainstorming to execution.
- You will need to understand the importance of building client relationships and aim to provide exceptional service that meets their needs and expectations.
- Furthermore, you will be a valuable resource for colleagues who have less experience, offering guidance, sharing knowledge, and providing support.
- Proficient in software development across multiple programming languages; and contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
- You will have to foster a collaborative work environment, where we can collectively achieve success.
- Proficient in leading projects or project steps and communicating progress/approach with all peers/clients.
- Proficiency in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business.
Requirements
- Overall, you have an educational background or equivalent work experience in software engineering or computer science.
- You have 4+ years of experience in software development and be proficient in multiple programming languages.
- Experience with scalable distributed systems and project leadership.
- Hands-on experience building an enterprise web app using React.js, JavaScript, NodeJS, TypeScript, Redux, HTML, CSS, SCSS, and Webpack.
- Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Practical experiencing working within an Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban).
