By offering resources and information about charging infrastructure, incentives and rebates, and other aspects of electric vehicle ownership, EV.com can help overcome barriers to electric vehicle adoption and accelerate the transition towards sustainable transportation.

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building beautiful, responsive web applications that provide an exceptional user experience. In this role, you will work closely with our product team to develop and implement new features, design and optimize our user interface, and help us maintain our high standards for code quality and performance.

Role Summary

• From scratch, build the very first EV marketplace website which will be launched in North America and Europe.

• Work with product team and other stakeholders to ideate, build and rapidly iterate web features.

• Design and build performant, scalable and search engine friendly marketplace websites with technologies, like React, Restful API, etc.

• Cooperate with Backend engineers to build seamless and efficient API’s and other mechanisms for the system.

• Take the ownership of the product from end to end, back your project during development and operation.

• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers to set up the processes, systems, and cultures to build an innovative, productive, and supportive engineering team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience delivering high-performance, public-facing, responsive and mobile-friendly internet websites with demonstrative business impact

• Mastery of web fundamentals including HTTP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS

• Proficient in TypeScript, React/Redux/Next.js or Vue/Vuex/Nuxt.js

• Experience with modern web development including build tools, testing and CI/CD

• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them

• Understanding of website optimization techniques such as SSR, CDN, and web-caching technologies

• Self-motivated, relentlessly focused on impact, and able to operate under a great deal of independence

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

Good to have

• Experience with marketplace website development

• Experience in building sites in the automotive industry

• Experience with Vue.js
