Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Description

• Collaborate closely with sales and customer support teams to support Outset’s EU expansion • Interface directly with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and build targeted features • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support and resolve technical questions and issues • Provide global operational support for the platform • Design, develop, and optimize frontend interfaces using React and Next.js • Build robust, responsive components integrating with backend services and APIs • Design, develop, and optimize backend services, APIs, and real-time data processing infrastructure • Implement and refine the in-house Large Language Model and real-time interview technology • Lead customer-facing projects from conception through production deployment, ensuring scalability, responsiveness, and reliability

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting production-grade frontend and backend systems • Experience in a customer-facing role • Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js • Experience building scalable, responsive web applications • Familiarity integrating frontend applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs • Strong proficiency with Python and Django, including experience building robust APIs • Extensive knowledge of SQL databases, preferably Postgres • Experience deploying and managing services on AWS • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices • Bonus: familiarity with real-time data visualization, real-time data streaming and export, WebRTC, or AI/ML infrastructure • Must address whether sponsorship or a work permit will be required to work in the EU
