Engineering Manager

Description

• We are looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about leading teams to build innovative tax solutions.

• This role will oversee the engineering team and be responsible for mentoring engineers, driving project deliverables, and ensuring the highest standards of software quality are maintained.

• If you have a background in software engineering and have hands-on experience with technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, React, Python, and GraphQL, we want to hear from you!

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers on software development best practices and technology adoption.

• Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

• Facilitate and assist engineers with their individual contributor tasks.

• Collaborate with our product manager and other stakeholders to define the technical scope, system architecture, and set priorities for projects in the product roadmap.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to enhance their skills and advance their careers.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration within the engineering team and cross-functional teams.

• Implement strategies for enhancing team performance and productivity.

• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies to ensure the team is using best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• 7+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus in both front-end and back-end technologies

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role

• Strong technical background with experience in software architecture and design

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

• Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects on time and within budget

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to support and promote a positive team culture
