• About the Role: We’re seeking a Contract Software Engineer to join our development team for a 3–6 month engagement. You’ll contribute to key backend services that power our senior care recommendation platform. This role is ideal for an engineer who brings hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB, and is also comfortable navigating a .NET-based codebase. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable code that directly impacts the families and partners we serve.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Javascript, TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB
• Interface with and extend functionality within our existing .NET ecosystem
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to scope and execute features
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and support team-wide engineering standards
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and reliability efforts
• 5-7 years of experience in full-stack or backend software development
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
• Recent experience working with MongoDB
• Familiarity with .NET and ability to work within an existing C# codebase
• Experience working in agile environments with remote teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward execution
• Bonus If You Have:
• Experience with AWS or cloud-based infrastructure
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Previous experience in healthtech, edtech, or other mission-driven environments
