Back End Engineer

Description

• Oddball believes that the best products are built when companies understand and value the things they are working on

• Support CMS modernization to centralize Medicare data into a secure, cloud-based platform

• Design and develop robust API endpoints and backend services

• Implement end-to-end testing solutions and support backend systems that drive critical health data applications

• Work with a collaborative engineering team to deliver scalable, secure solutions

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing backend services with Node.js, Javascript, and TypeScript

• Solid understanding of API design and backend systems architecture

• Experience with SQL/Postgres and familiarity with Java in backend development

• Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)

• Familiarity with cloud computing services, especially AWS, and building within secure, scalable environments

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with sprints and daily stand-ups

• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (data scientists, UX, product, software engineers)

• Strong communication skills and a passion for learning and adapting in a fast-moving environment

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or a security clearance
