Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Play a pivotal role in the evolution of our system architecture as it matures from MVP to a scaling platform; work alongside our CTO and CPO to make our platform more capable, flexible and scalable
- Work closely with sales, operations and customer-success teams to deliver platform capabilities
- Rapidly internalise the complex interplay of finance, logistics and industrial processes that underpins our product
- Effectively communicate complex features/systems design to collaborate and drive the product roadmap
- Be closely involved in hiring and mentoring, help foster a collaborative, ambitious and outcome oriented culture
What We Look For
Our current backend is Java based, our plan is to move towards a NodeJS / Typescript service architecture. Your work will initially be feature development and refactoring in Java. We have some greenfield NodeJS projects planned for the near future.
- Bachelor's Degree (or above) in Computer Science/Maths/Physics or similar discipline
- Proficient with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, TypeScript or similar)
- 4-6 years of relevant, broad software engineering experience - prior experience working as part of a growth-focused team is a plus
- Excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, and have a strong ability to deliver results within tight timelines
- Passionate to work with small & medium sized enterprises (SMEs) - these are our clients!
